Wine Dinner @ Deja Vu Restaurant


The Deja Vu Restaurant at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel hosted a Wine Dinner on Thursday 9th June.

Pan Seared French Red Mullet with tomato concentrate and celeriac puree (right) was served for the starter, accompanied by Domain Houchart Rose 2009, from Provence.  The soup course consisted of DJV Consomme with hand made rillette tortellini, white beans, cognac and thyme petals, complemented by 2009 Riesling from Anne Borck Lin in France.

This was followed by Forest Mushrooms and Gruyere Cheese Pithivier with light and buttery puff pastry, refreshing apple salad and toasted walnuts (below), served with Mistralou Rouge 2007, from Cave La Suzienne, Cotes du Rhone.









Next up was Confit Lamb Parmentier with white asparagus, beetroot crystals and bordelaise sauce, accompanied by Chateau Neuf du Pape 2008, from Domaine de Vieux Lazaret in Rhone.




Dessert consisted of Honey Melon Scented with Rosemary and Muscat, with sago pearls and milk ice cream, served with L'Etoile Muscat Sec Cave Veuve 2009, from Banyuls, Languedoc Roussillon.  Executive Pastry Chef Cyrille Vero is pictured with the dessert.




All French wines were provided by Club Cepages, a group of 21 French wine producers who have united to export a wide range of their quality products.  Export Manager Eric Leruste (below) was on hand to share his expertise with diners.
