The Lounge is an Elegant New Gathering Place for Bankok’s Cultured Society and Business Elite
The St. Regis Bangkok announced the launch of its sixth Food and Beverage venue this week. The venue is aptly named The Lounge, and is located on the ground floor of the 46-story building. The Lounge is part of a refurbishment project that includes a refresh to the lobby fixtures and furnishings, the relocation of the Concierge and Bell desks for added guest convenience and a slight modification to the entrance to Jojo, the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant.
With a finished look that aligns stylishly with the overall design concept of the hotel, The Lounge introduces new experiences for both local and international guests.
Reflecting a legacy of refinement and style, The Lounge began serving its first guests in mid-September.
A unique expression of style and taste, the new outlet defines the contemporary luxury outlook of St. Regis, combining rich textures, thoughtful lighting and subtle touches of seduction that promise to breathe new life to the ground floor entrance of one of the city’s most prestigious addresses.
The Lounge introduces a new series of signature offerings including the Iced Tea Collection – a refreshing menu of specialty tea-based thirst quenchers created by tea master Daniela Santobuono that combine exotic tea blends with local and imported spices and ingredients.
An extensive cocktail list includes the Martini Collection – exciting and original concoctions some of which were inspired by the hotel’s most regular guests! Executive Chef Bastian Mantey also brings to the new venue a captivating selection of gourmet creations including Wagyu Burger Three Ways, The Lounge Thai Egg Benedict which adds a local flavour to a traditional favourite and the Salmon Trolley with homemade smoked and marinated salmon carvings.
Drawing from the brand’s rich New York heritage, The Lounge also offer an inviting range of cheesecakes alongside the traditional afternoon tea delicacies.
“We are excited to introduce this new venue that brings together the St. Regis’ time-honoured traditions with Thailand’s rich culture and commitment to hospitality,” said Krister Svenssen, General Manager of The St. Regis Bangkok. “A refined, intimate setting at a prime location along Rajadamri Road positions The Lounge as the consummate social retreat for the city’s cultured society.”
Guests can enjoy the daytime specialty of Afternoon Tea offering a selection of hand-crafted savoury, sweet delicacies and tea collections each afternoon from 2:00 pm – 6:00pm, available at the opening special price of Baht 950++ for 2 persons inclusive of one hot and one cold tea or coffee per person. This special offer is valid until 19 December 2014.
You can then experience the evening ritual of champagne sobering along with an exclusive range of cocktail concoctions including the Martini Collection available until midnight.
