The Return of the Austrian Master Chefs at D'Sens, Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok

Award winning French Restaurant D'Sens welcomed back renowned chef brothers Karl and Rudi Obauer on 13th June 2012, for the first night of their four night special menu presentation, featuring fresh ingredients that they brought with them from their two Michelin star rated restaurant in the Austrian Alps.

The brothers have prepared a five course and a seven course Menu De Couvert, two exciting menus that aim to deliver the unexpected.  A four course menu has also been prepared for lunchtimes at D'Sens, which sits on the top floor of the Dusit Thani Hotel, providing sweeping views of adjacent Lumphini Park.


A range of Austrian wines have been selected to accompany each course.  Featured vintages include 2010 Lenz Riesling DAC, 2010 Gruner Veltliner Wieden and Berg DAC, 2009 Gernot Heinrich Red and 2009 Gernot Heinrich Blaufrankisch.


The brothers have provided their own unique style of menu from their world renowned Obauer Restaurant and Hotel in Werfen, a hiking paradise in the shadow of the Alps, since 1979.  Their cuisine is based on classic principles, combining fresh ingredients from their own Alpine garden with the finest food the region has to offer, while also using the best flavours from around the world.
