Sky High Celebrity Party at the Launch of Continent Bangkok

Held over four levels, the party was based upon the themes used within the hotel – Ocean, Desert, Space and Forest – to transform fine Italian restaurant Medinii, H2O Pool Bar and double-level lounge, Axis & Spin, into a tantalizing party centre.

An exotic professional belly dancer “Hadassa” was joined by an elegant female James Bond, a gold-laden female Poseidon, an otherwordly mermaid and an alluring Poison Ivy.  All five gave interactive performances throughout the various levels of the hotel.

“The Continent Hotel Bangkok is proud and honoured to have hosted such a fine event, enjoyed by so many. Our aim was to showcase this hotel as the elegant, modern and captivating location that it is” said Mr. Zaki Baz, General Manager of the Continent Hotel.

International cuisine was paired with avant-garde cocktails in the four colours of The Continent’s logo.  Innovative ingredients like fresh cinnamon quills, orchids and Thai basil were used to spice up the flavours and hues.

The open air setting of the H20 Pool Bar on level 37 became an aquatic paradise for the evening, with the Greek Islands becoming the inspiration for the site.

Level 38’s chic Axis Bar took on an outer space theme, with original lighting treatments used to imitate stars, and galaxy-inspired cocktails created to tempt the palate.  Here, alluring Andromeda, complete with chains, climbed the feature spiral staircase to Spin, on the hotel’s top storey.

Themed ‘Heaven’, the 38th storey bar featured DJ Cleo P, who kept the dance floor active, while body-painted Athena, the Greek goddess of war, and Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and pleasure, came to life overlooking the city lights.

Celebrities including the beautiful Bowie Atthama, stunning cover girl Woonsen Virithipa and actor Lek Teeradetch lent their star-power to the attractive crowd.
