Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant Opening Party

27.01.2012

Bangkok's latest rooftop sensation opened to great fanfare when management at Sofitel Bangkok Silom Hotel hosted a celebrity party at their brand new Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant on the hotel's 37th floor.

Taking over from the well loved V9 Wine Bar, Scarlett boasts marvellous cityscape views from both sides of the outlet, with an outdoor terrace providing uninterrupted vistas across the Chao Phraya River.

The party was held on Thursday January 26th, with the outlet officially opening to the public the following day.  Patrons have the choice of lounging on plush leather sofas, dining with friends around wooden table settings, relaxing at the long bar or mingling on the 120 square metre terrace. With over 400 square metres of floor space in total, the spacious bistro offers solutions for all tastes, with DJs scheduled to entertain the more energetic at weekends.

Celebrities who attended the event included Praire Vajrabhaya, Lapas Hasdin Na Ayuthaya, M.L. Somlada Jumbala, Chavalit Aroonthat, Siraprapa Chirabandhu and Chollada Mekratri (all pictured above, photo courtesy of Sofitel Bangkok Silom Hotel).

An extensive wine list features over 150 different labels, with a choice of 10 for consumption by the glass.  Cocktail lovers have also been accommodated, with signature concoctions such as "Sparkle and Fade" and "Pandanus Aquaduct" proving popular on the night.

European fare is to the fore, with a large selection of cold cuts and cheeses available, along with an interesting array of tapas, pasta dishes and daily specials.

Scarlett follows in the footsteps of its prestigious sister outlet, Scarlett Beijing, which has already proved popular.  The Bangkok version will open seven days a week, from 6pm until 1am.

Guy Poujoulat, General Manager of Sofitel Bangkok Silom stated: "Scarlett is an ideal place for breaking away from routine and adding some fun to life. It has a unique atmosphere and ambience, serving terrific food and beverages at a reasonable price. Scarlett is part of an extensive renovation programme that the hotel is undergoing to become the lifestyle Pullman Bangkok Hotel G in April 2012”
