Pages From History in Downtown Bangkok

17.05.2011

The Neilson Hays Library has housed

a treasure trove of literary works since

inception in 1869.  Home to more than

20,000 books, the library is rightly

ranked as a Bangkok institution.  While

Surawongse Road bustles outside, the

building proves deceptively tranquil,

sitting amidst beautiful gardens that

provide leafy awnings under which

to peruse the latest titles.

Hilton Hotel Hua Hin - A Haven For Hedonists

10.05.2011

The sparkling white walls of the Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa seem to dominate the eye line from all directions; it's almost as if the city had been built up around the hotel.

Sights of the city from the peak of the building are equally impressive, with sweeping views across the Gulf of Thailand augmented by aerial vistas that take in the city itself, neighbouring Cha-Am and the range of hills that separate Thailand from Myanmar.

It's little wonder that thousands of tourists every year decide to make the Hilton their base camp.
