Grand Designs Launched at Jomtien Beach Party

Pattaya’s party of the year was held beachside in Jomtien at the weekend, as the Centara Grand Resort and Residence was officially launched.

Guests toured the 200 million baht showroom, which is located on 20 rai of prime land that boasts 150 metres of pure beach frontage.  Scheduled for completion in 2015, the project will feature three towers and will consist of the 200 room five star Centara Grand Resort and Spa, taking up one complete tower, and 283 luxurious apartments located throughout the other two towers.

Pattaya mayor Itthiphol Kunplome (pictured above, right) was on hand to join other dignitaries in the champagne cork popping initiation ceremony, which was followed by an eye popping bikini fashion show, a lavish firework display and a Chiang Mai lantern launch.

Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant Opening Party

Bangkok's latest rooftop sensation opened to great fanfare when management at Sofitel Bangkok Silom Hotel hosted a celebrity party at their brand new Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant on the hotel's 37th floor.


Taking over from the well loved V9 Wine Bar, Scarlett boasts marvellous cityscape views from both sides of the outlet, with an outdoor terrace providing uninterrupted vistas across the Chao Phraya River.

A Week of Spanish Chemistry at Parkview

Renowned chef Jacobo Astray will be creating his own unique range of culinary concepts at Parkview Restaurant when the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel is host to “A Week of Spanish Chemistry” between January 23rd and 28th 2012.

Jacobo is senior chef at El Bulli Restaurant, which has been at the forefront of culinary imagination since the 1990’s.  Regarded by many as the creator of molecular gastronomy, the Spanish restaurant prides itself on providing provocative creations by modifying the characteristics of the ingredients of each dish.

Tree Lighting @ Imperial Queen's Park Bangkok

The Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel held a Festive Tree Lighting Ceremony in their lobby area on Tuesday, November 29th, 2011.

Guests were entertained by a dance performance by the children of the Foundation for Slum Care.

Master of Ceremonies Onpawee Kittipong introduced General Manager Michal Zitek, Khunying Wongchan Phinainitisatra, Vice President of the Foundation of Slum Child Care and Eric Monteil, French photographer and owner of the Rock Around Asia Art Gallery and Bistro, who all made speeches before the lighting ceremony took place.
