The China House at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok launched a promotion of outstanding Cantonese cuisine today (August 6th), when Michelin Star Chef Man-Sing Lee arrived from the hotel's sister outlet, Man Wah, in Hong Kong.  Chef Lee will be preparing his special range of dishes until August 12th for both lunch and dinner seatings.

Chef Man-Sing Lee has been perfecting his Cantonese delicacies for the last 31 years.  He joined Man Wah at the Hong Kong Mandarin Oriental around two years ago, and quickly helped the restaurant gain Michelin Star recognition.

All recipes were changed, with an emphasis on presentation being prioritised.  Chef Lee considers the look of each dish to be as important as the taste, and he uses Chinese pictures as his inspiration, often studying books for hours after he has finished his stint in the kitchen.

Small servings are also considered important, so that diners can sample many dishes and consequently many different flavours.  Chef Lee is now so highly regarded in Hong Kong that he is often asked to judge food contests.

Bangkok gourmands now have the chance to sample Chef Lee’s masterpieces with the offering of specially created lunch and dinner set menus, although there is a comprehensive a la carte menu also being served.
