Grand Designs Launched at Jomtien Beach Party

Pattaya’s party of the year was held beachside in Jomtien at the weekend, as the Centara Grand Resort and Residence was officially launched.

Guests toured the 200 million baht showroom, which is located on 20 rai of prime land that boasts 150 metres of pure beach frontage.  Scheduled for completion in 2015, the project will feature three towers and will consist of the 200 room five star Centara Grand Resort and Spa, taking up one complete tower, and 283 luxurious apartments located throughout the other two towers.

Pattaya mayor Itthiphol Kunplome (pictured above, right) was on hand to join other dignitaries in the champagne cork popping initiation ceremony, which was followed by an eye popping bikini fashion show, a lavish firework display and a Chiang Mai lantern launch.

The project consists of studios, one, two, three and four bedroom units and penthouses.  Some of the units and penthouses are two storeys, and there are even two duplex studios.  All units will have direct sea views from generous balconies that are spacious enough for private parties.

Apartment owners and residents will have direct access to the hotel’s exceptional leisure facilities and upscale dining outlets.  These include a sundeck, large swimming pools, water features, floating pavilions and fountains within verdant landscaped gardens, tennis courts, fitness and games rooms, a steam room and sauna, a waterfall, a garden pavilion, a beach pavilion and an open bridge to a tree top lobby.

The show units and apartment models were impressive enough on the night for almost 200 million baht to be secured in condominium sales.

Tulip Group Chief Executive Officer Kobi Elbaz stated: “Our goal is to give the apartment buyers the feel that they are living in a resort so only 27.5 percent of the land we are developing is being used for the construction.  This is green luxury on a grand scale.”
