Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin - A Vision of Grandeur
Sprawling across 13 hectares of magnificently manicured gardens, amid swaying palm trees and glistening fountains, the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort and Villas provides a stylish retreat that affords echoes of a bygone age.
The property is situated in the heart of Hua Hin, with direct access to the tranquil beach, yet within metres of the resort city's bustling nightlife zone with its beer bars, pizza parlours and gourmet seafood restaurants.
Guest therefore have the best of both worlds at their fingertips, and can soak up the rays beside the luxurious swimming pools during the day, before embarking on more adventurous evening pursuits.

The five star luxury retreat began life as The Railway Hotel in 1923, and is rightly regarded as one of Thailand's most historic hotels. Dripping with elegance, and decorated throughout with period furnishings and fixtures, the Centara Grand oozes the kind of sophistication that more up to date holiday retreats cannot hope to recreate.
Accommodation within the hotel complex ranges from Superior and Deluxe guestrooms to Junior Suites, Deluxe Suites, Duplex Suites and Executive Suites; there are 207 guestrooms in total, plus 42 Deluxe Spa Villas, Deluxe Pool Villas and Premium Deluxe Pool Villas. The Pool Villas all feature a private five metre pool.
A fine dining experience can be had at one of the Centara's five star restaurants. Guests can choose fusion seafood at the Palm Seafood Restaurant, alfresco light meals at the Palm Terrace, buffet breakfasts overlooking the tranquil gardens at the Railway Restaurant or traditional Japanese fare at the Hagi Japanese Restaurant.
In addition, the Salathai Restaurant provides elegant Thai cuisine at the Villas, while the Museum and Tea Corner, in the lobby, offers sweet treats and the daily high tea and chocolate buffet.
The hotel has its very own cocktail creation: The Heritage Fizz. This is just one of the many cocktails that can be sampled, along with tasty snacks, in the Elephant Bar, where the Colonial Age feels alive once more.
Facilities include the Cenvaree Spa, with nine treatment rooms set within a landscaped tropical garden, the Grand Ballroom that can seat up to 220 people and three meeting rooms for meetings of up to 30 people.
With rich teakwood, fine silks and pristine marble prominent throughout, the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort is without doubt the height of elegance.
