Blue Elephant Outside Catering Launched
Chef Nooror Somany-Steppe, founder of the Blue Elephant Group, hosted a reception on board the Manohra River Cruise on the Chao Phraya River to celebrate the official launch of the new "Blue Elephant Catering With a Difference" service.
Her son Kim Steppe (right), general manager of the Blue Elephant Governor Mansion in Phuket, was on hand to join in the celebrations, along with representatives of other Blue Elephant branches around the world.

The two hour cruise took place on Monday 20th June, leaving from the pier at the Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa.
Guests were introduced to a selection of canapes and main meals prepared by the chain's master chefs, all now available for private outside catering.
The first Blue Elephant was opened in Brussels in 1980 by Nooror Somany-Steppe, a Thai living in Belgium with her Belgian husband Mr. Karl Steppe. Branches in London, Paris and Copenhagen soon followed, with the chain rapidly gaining a reputation for providing some of the best Asian cuisine in Europe.
There are now Blue Elephant restaurants throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and beyond. They can be found in Malta, Lyon, Moscow, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jakarta, Bangkok and Phuket.
