Baikingu Sunday Brunch Introduced at zuma Bangkok

31.07.2012

A new concept in Sunday dining is now available at zuma Bangkok, with the launch of the unique izakaya informal dining style.

Regulars of zuma in Hong Kong, Dubai and Miami have enjoyed the Sunday brunch for several years, and this popular ‘Baikingu Brunch’ is now available at zuma Bangkok, the vibrant Japanese restaurant located at the St. Regis Bangkok.

Children aged ten and under are welcomed complimentary for the unique Japanese izakaya brunch concept of informal eating and drinking, designed for groups of friends and families.

zuma’s Sunday Brunch is priced at Baht 1,280++ per person and is available from 11am to 3pm every Sunday.

Highlights of starters and salads from the open kitchen counters include a delectable array of live oysters, tuna tataki with marinated red onions and chilli ponzu, housemade tofu with barley miso, and chilled cold soba noodles - as well as hot appetisers from the charcoal Robata grill.

An open sushi counter features a selection of sashimi, and a variety of sushi maki rolls such as Ebi Tempura Maki with pickled burdock, mentaiko and yuzu mayonnaise; and spicy tuna roll with green chilli and wasabi tobiko.

Individual main courses such rib-eye steak with sautéed mushrooms and wafu sauce, Salmon teriyaki fillet with pickled cucumber, and and lamb cutlets with hot pepper spices are made fresh from the open kitchen and served straight to the table.  Children are also catered to, with a specially created selection of healthy and nutritious main course choices.

A platter of zuma’s creative mouthwatering desserts, designed for sharing, completes the zuma Sunday ‘Baikingu Brunch’ experience.

zuma’s air-conditioned terrace also allows for al fresco dining outdoors amidst a rock garden and provides a versatile area to enjoy the afternoons. This area is also popular for sipping cocktails and for celebrating special occasions.

To appease inquisitive minds, a Kids’ Corner has been designed to keep the young ones occupied, in addition to colouring books and pencils.  This will enable them to make new friends, while the grown-ups can take leisurely pleasure in sampling the restaurant’s award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine.

While Champange and wines are priced from Baht 2,300++ and Baht 700++ per bottle, respectively, a bottle of Zonin Prosecco is specially offered at Baht 600++.
