Art of Thai Cuisine Food Festival at Blue Elephant Restaurant, Bangkok - Food Fit for Parliament



Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe gives the new menu her seal of approval


When the Blue Elephant Restaurant launched a new fine dining menu recently, it seemed fitting that among the first to sample the dishes were Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her fellow Members of Parliament, at a special reception in honour of the visiting President of Myanmar, U Thein Sein.

The menu is now available to members of the public, with the Art of Thai Cuisine Food Festival running until September 30th at the iconic South Sathorn building.

Kitchen staff put the finishing touches to the six course meal

The Blue Elephant Cooking School and Restaurant holds a special food festival every year, during August and September, to celebrate the anniversary of the palatial Thai-Chin Mansion in which it sits.

This year’s six course creation has been entitled “Art of Thai Cuisine”, and features some of Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe’s favourite creations.

Priced at B2,400++ per person, the six course menu comes with one glass of champagne.

Blue Elephant Restaurants continue to gain fame around the world, and recently Thai Airways adopted an almost exclusively Blue Elephant menu for the Belgium to Thailand sector, provided by the outlet in Brussels.
